Hello! I'm Ashley Prado, a first-generation immigrant who found magic at the intersection of technology, art, and human connection. Growing up between cultures taught me that the most beautiful solutions come from understanding different perspectives.
I speak the language of code, creativity, and community. As someone who navigates multiple worlds, I am multilingual, multicultural, and endlessly curious. I believe technology should feel as warm and welcoming as a conversation with a friend.
My journey is about building bridges: between AI and the communities it serves, between complex technology and everyday people, between innovation and empathy, between dreams and reality.
Bridging worlds through technology
Where art meets engineering
Lifting others as I climb
Every quest has leveled up how I build technology for social impact, with curiosity, empathy, and a commitment to mission-driven work.
Full-Stack Software Engineer Intern
May 2025 – August 2025
Built a production-ready Geneva Action in C# to automate Azure container group lifecycle management, enabling zero-touch remediation and reducing false positives by 40% during high-severity incidents.
Software Engineer Intern, Smart Infrastructure
May 2024 – August 2024
Constructed scalable APIs in Visual Basic for topography optimization, reducing simulation runtime by 30%. Engineered an Arduino system with microcontrollers to simulate 50 breaker states for automated electrical testing.
Web Developer Specialist
September 2023 – Present
Enhanced accessibility and performance across 200+ Miami-Dade websites using HTML, JavaScript, Python, and PHP, boosting engagement by 47% through responsive design and optimized load times.
President
May 2023 – Present
Spearheaded outreach and launched the chapter website, boosting engagement across 200+ members and advancing initiatives for women in engineering.
Programming Instructor
Nonprofit
Taught Python, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS to K–12 students at Code/Art, a nonprofit, designing creative, project-based lessons that helped young learners build confidence and discover they could become creators of technology.
AI Researcher
2025 – Present
Contributed to NLP research on low-resource Indigenous languages, coauthoring an accepted AmericasNLP 2025 publication, and analyzed wearable sensor data for AI-driven digital health research.
Each project is a new branch, building AI tools and technology that create meaningful, real-world impact for communities that need it most.
A public, searchable platform making scholarships, internships, fellowships, and programs easier to find — with clear eligibility info including immigration-friendly filters for international, DACA, undocumented, and first-gen students.
An Arduino-powered glove using flex sensors and machine learning to translate American Sign Language gestures into real-time text, bridging communication gaps for the hearing-impaired community.
Developed the official website for the Society of Women Engineers at FIU using WordPress with custom HTML/CSS, a real-time event calendar, responsive design, and Web3Forms API integration for secure, spam-free form submissions.
Control a robot car with your brain using EEG signals from a BioAmp EXG Pill, KNN-based ML classification of focus/unfocus states, and TCP communication to a Raspberry Pi–powered PiCar-X. Real-time neurotechnology made accessible.
Moments that shaped who I am, from the classroom to the stage, celebrating achievements and building community.

I believe in building not just products, but possibilities. Every AI tool I build is an opportunity to make the world a little more connected, a little more equitable, and a lot more human.
Technology should open doors, not close them. I believe in creating tools and opportunities that make learning accessible to everyone.
The best solutions come from diverse perspectives. I champion inclusive spaces where every voice matters and every idea has value.
Code without borders. I strive to build technology that transcends cultures and connects communities across the world.
Behind every line of code is a person. I design with empathy, ensuring technology serves humanity, not the other way around.
The future isn't something that happens to us, it's something we create together, one thoughtful line of code at a time.
